On the second day of marathon coffee shop blogging, I’m starting to notice other regulars:

-Outside with me, other men in varying lengths of short pants with macbooks and backpacks and hornrimmed glasses. Everyone has newer laptops than I do.

-A bearded black guy with a gym bag spent all day yesterday smoking spliffs out back. Today, he asked if I had a cigarette, and left after I didn’t.

-One man is French, and talks on his cellphone. Yesterday, another, gaunter Frenchman joined him for lunch.

-Fewer women camp outside, sticking to the AC, or something. The exceptions so far are pairs of women with sunglasses or lone, very skinny women who type very quickly and smoke cigarettes.

-Towards the back of the garden area, there are a lot of flies.
